Enter quietly. Walk in two single-filed lines up the stairs. Get breakfast (optional) and quickly and quietly get back into line.
Go directly to your locker and get everything you need for your morning classes (check the schedule posted in the hallway) including your agenda, notebooks, and folders. After 8.15 a.m. NO ONE may go to their lockers until you return to 207.
Place your lunch ticket in the correct bin (home, meat, or veggie) and get out your homework so table monitors can check it in. If there is morning work to do complete, if not you may read or work on vocabulary cards.
Use the signal FROM YOUR SEAT, wait to be given permission, and sign out and in. Do not take pens, pencils, paper or anything else to the bathroom. Do not play, socialize or do anything other than use the bathroom.
You will only be allowed to go in the morning, at lunch time, and a before you have reading!
If you forget to bring lunch, it’s okay. Inform me, order a lunch, and pay me back the next day. Have your lunch or milk money ready in the morning to be collected. You should NOT have to go back to your locker to get your money. Try to pay weekly, it’s easier and less time consuming.
You should be quiet in the hall at all times. Whether you’re in line or going to your locker, do it quickly and quietly. Remember what HALL stands for...
Hands at your side
All eyes forward
Be respectful of other classes learning and the safety of everyone at Stone.
Leaving the Room
You MUST ask for permission and have a pass whenever you exit the room.
Take what you need with you quickly and quietly. Do NOT touch or mess with your classmate’s property. Stay out of their desks and leave their things alone. You will NOT be allowed to go to your locker for any reason, once class has started, so don’t ask!
On an index card write the name of the book and the date you check it out and place it inside the pocket with your name on it. When you are ready to return a book to the class library, give it to one of the librarians and have them cross out the returned book and write the date it was returned.
Your desks and lockers should remain neat and organized at ALL times. Your binders, notebooks, and folders should be on one side and workbooks and text books should be on the other side. Store your science, math, and writing materials in your locker. Work out a system that is fair for both you and your partner. No one’s belongings should take up more space than the other.
